Statement of Faith

We believe in God, the Eternal Spirit, and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our Father, and to His mighty deeds we testify.

He called the worlds into existence, created man in His own image and likeness, and sets before humanity the ways of life and death.

He seeks in unconditional love to save all people from hopelessness and sin.

He is our Supreme Ruler that judges humanity and nations by His Righteous will, declared through prophets and apostles.

After the sin and fall of Adam, God sent His Son, Jesus the Christ, born of a virgin who obediently sacrificed His life as an atonement for our sin.

That three days after his death and burial, God most powerfully raised Jesus from the dead.

That Satan is defeated.

God bestows upon us His Holy Spirit to comfort, guide and empower us to fulfill our God-given purpose.

All the gifts of the Holy Spirit are in operation today as signs of the Holy Spirit’s indwelling.

The Bible in totality is God’s written and inspired word, recorded by man.

He calls us to be His church, to accept the cost and joy of discipleship, to be His servants in the service of humanity, to proclaim the gospel to all the world and to boldly resist the powers of evil, to share in Christ’s baptism, eat at His table, and to join Him in His suffering and His victory.

God has given gifts to the church in the form of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, and for the edifying of the body of Christ.

He promises to all who trust Him forgiveness of sins and fullness of grace, courage in the struggle for justice and peace, His never failing presence and eternal life in His Kingdom which has no end.

That God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are three persons in one. They compose the triune God-head.

Blessing and honor, glory and power be unto Him.

Amen
